Yessssssss!
You may or may not remember that I did not want David to play football. And you may or may not remember that after much begging and pleading, we let him. Remember, too, that it was through the football physical that we found David's cyst that had to be removed. So on the one hand, "Yay, football!" because without that physical who knows what might have happened. And on the other hand "Booo, football!" because twice Saturday boys were hurt on the field and had to leave the game (one in an ambulance!). Well, I think football has served it's purpose for David. The other day when I was taking him to practice he said "I don't think I'll play football next year. I just don't want to get hurt and have to sit out of practices and games!" David is definitely a player, not an observer! Yessssssss!

I'll bet Jim enjoys watching his youngest out there playing the ga
me.

I feel the same way. However, Jacob will play football next year. So far, it's only been flag football...next year it's tackle.
RE: your comment on 10 yr olds...thanks for the simple and short explanation. It's the reminder that I needed! My goal is not to make my child happy...just for him to get up and out the door. His attitude is his choice. whew...pressure off.
Just as well...he'd probably grow up and play for some stinky team like the Raiders or Dolphins!
I heard there were injuries on Saturday. Praying for a safer day tomorrow - especially for David. Its good he tried it, and if he doesn't want to play, it's good he won't have to.
Ha-ha-ha.....yep, that's all I have to say. :-)
