That Four-Letter Word: BUSY

I heard recently on the radio about a survey that was given to people that had lived long lives.  One thing all these older folks had in common was that they lived with a purpose, they all had something they loved doing and kept busy doing it.  So much for the "slow down and relax" theory that has been running around in my head recently.  With weeks like this one, I guess I'm on the path to a good old age.  I can't believe all I have left to do in the next few days.

1. Bake Fall Harvest Blueberry Zucchini Bread for Bible study in the morning.
2. Color my hair.  (There I said it, in case you were really wondering!)
3. Gather, tag and deliver my items for The Exchange consignment sale.
4. Friday Morning Bible Study
5. Clean up paint supplies in Em's room (a.k.a. The Guest Room)
6. Make this wall hanging for Em's room.

7. Find seasoned wood for a headboard.
8. Install tie-backs for David's curtains.
9. Spot-paint hallway.
10, Assemble candy-bar thank yous for the Welcome Center.
11. Plan and execute a Dessert Open House for Sunday.
12. Take Grace to text-anxiety assessment.
13. Intentionally connect with A,E,G, & D each day.
14. Clean house "magazine perfect" (see #11 above!)
15. Prepare meals, do laundry, yada, yada.

Somehow making a list helps. Thanks for listening.

Hummm, you got a lot on your plate. Is that photo of Em's room? If so, can I have some decorating advise from you? I love that dark brown wall! It would be good for my master bedroom (I'll have to save up for some paint).

And, by the way, these all look like things with a purpose - that is good!

I love this post. I just love it. It makes me remember how much I'm like my mother. I love that.
