Four Weeks, but Who's Counting

Four weeks ago today, we put an offer on a house. Today we still have not heard that it's a go. Although this morning our realtor did call and say he was taking our earnest money check to the Title Company for deposit. Shouldn't we know why they are taking our money? Shouldn't we have a "yes" or "no" by now? Shouldn't we?

We are on the other side of this situation, the sellers in a "short sale" situation where the bank has to approve any offers. It is amazing how drawn out the process is! I hope yours moves along quickly!

Yes, you should be told why your check is being cashed - it is legally significant if they put your money in escrow. Ask the realator or the title company agency. Remember, this is not legal advise. ;)

You want me to call them? I worked at a mortgage office for almost a year! I'm a pro!
